What Does a Nanny or Household Staffing Agency Cost in Orange County?
Most Orange County household staffing agencies charge a placement fee of 15% to 25% of the employee’s first-year gross salary, plus an upfront search or registration fee that typically runs $350 to $600. At Mansfield Domestics, our long-term placement fee is 15% of the employee’s gross annual salary with a 3-month replacement period, or 18% with a 6-month replacement period. Our start fee is $250 — lower than the Orange County norm — and no placement fee is due until you actually hire someone.
The $250 start fee opens your search and gives you access to curated candidate profiles in your private portal. From there you’re welcome to review, interview, and fully vet candidates before any placement fee is due — so you can feel confident in the fit before you commit. We operate with no obligation: the placement fee is only charged when you decide to hire, and no later than the employee’s first day of work.

Mansfield Domestics fee structure is as follows:
For long-term (over 4 months) placements, our one-time placement fee is 15% of the employee’s gross annual salary with a 3-month replacement period. Or 18%, with a 6-month replacement period.
Short term of 1-4 months is a 1x fee of 30% of total wages.
Newborn Care Specialists – (4 months or less) is a flat rate of 2 weeks salary of the employee. Over 4 months contract will follow the 1x 15% or 18% of annual fee structure.
**Referral fee is due upon hiring of the candidate and no less than the first day of work.
